         Today I am thankful that we are leaving for vacation for a few days. Olivia and Olya will be out on their own in a few years so this will probably be one of our last vacations with the 4 of us!Image result for american airlines image

        Today I got my hair cut at the salon where Olivia works.  I am thankful that I got to see her at work and meet some of her co-workers. I asked for her as my shampoo girl.  She did a great job!  Everyone there really likes her.  I met the owner and he said he enjoys having he work here  because he feels her enthusiasm  for cosmetology.  The woman who cut my hair said the same thing.  They enjoy listening to the things she tells them she is learning in cosmetology school. It's nice to see your adult kids successful! I got a great haircut, I just love it.  Of course, I almost dropped dead when I was told the price of $80.00! I gave the beautician a tip of $20 and I left a tip of $10 for Olivia. Day 299 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

         Today I am thankful for the kindness of strangers!  When I am using my walker or cane, most people are always so nice!  They run in front of me to open the door and hold it for me! An older gentleman waited by the side of my car when I was getting my walker out.  He asked if he could help me.  I said no, thank you, I am OK.  Then he waited at the door of the store and opened it for me! I thanked him and told him that he was a gentleman.           I am also thankful for my stupid cats!When we got Nittany, about a year ago, Olivia bought him a cat bed. He  never  went in the bed.  Olivia would put him in the bed and try to hold him in there, but as soon as she'd let go, he would jump out. Fast forward a year when we got Rosie at the SPCA. Day 257 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

         Today I am thankful that Olivia asked me to go out with her after she finished cosmetology school.  I have become somewhat of a hermit because my sciatica bothers me so much and it is easier to stay home. Except for doctor visits, I have rarely seen anyone in the last few months. I go to doctor visits or stay home like a hermit.  Like my new outfit in the photo below?  I was in a lot of pain, but I wanted to get out of the house so I agreed to go. I figured I could always sit in the car if it was way too painful to walk.  She got her eyebrows waxed at the nail salon, then we went to Ulta, the makeup store.   She always needs something from there.  We spent $408 but we had a $3.50 coupon!! Big savings, huh?  A whole three dollars and fifty cents off of a four hundred dollar bill! Some of the shampoos and make up were in the 90% off bin and I couldn't resist some of those items! My bill was probably about $10-$12!...
