Day 341 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

          Today I am thankful for dinner with my friends.  There are 9 members in the dinner group but only 5 were available tonight.  We had the best time chatting!!  Sometimes a smaller group is nice!  They are all such nice people and I always have a good time with them! WE even ordered a piece of chocolate cake for dessert.  The table behind us was having a birthday party and we saw the cake.  None of us had even been thinking about cake or dessert but then we saw their cake.  It was such a rich chocolate cake, it was sinfully delicious!

Day 288 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

        Today I am thankful that Dan and I had dinner with Olivia and Frankie.  They went to the Renaissance Faire today.  They went with two other couples and had a lot of fun! I got up at 10:30 a m and went to the cemetery with Dan.  I took the marijuana drops when I got up, smallest dose of 2.5 ml, and felt so tired.  After the cemetery I fell asleep on the couch until 6 p m. Dan thinks I should stop the marijuana drops because all I do is sleep.  When I got up, we started talking about getting Chinese food for dinner.  Dan called Olivia and Frankie to pick it up on the way home.  It was all delicious(always about the food)  I HAVE TO STOP THINKING ABOUT FOOD SO MUCH! My scale says I have to shut my big mouth from eating too much!    We got to hear about all of their fun at the fair!  Since I am sort of  housebound due to my sciatica pain, I need to live my life vicariously through others!! Day 149 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

          Today I am thankful for coming home to these beautiful flowers from my friend Debbie and her family! I LOVE flowers. These flowers are breathtakingly beautiful and colorful!     It was a wonderful surprise! These are the most fragrant flowers ever, they filled my kitchen with a lovely fragrance.  Debbie is also a bereaved mom.  We met in an online bereavement chat room the year that we both lost our teenage children, 2001. Debbie lost her 17 year old son Peter in a snowmobile accident. Debbie is so kind and sweet and compassionate and she is funny as can be!  We have spent a lot of time in person too!  It is nice to feel so loved.  I have the best friends ever!  I really do.  I guess God was making up for my rotten, mentally ill mother by bringing so many wonderful friends to me.  Good job God!          Today I went to see m...

Day 248 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

         Today I am thankful that Olivia is being so successful in Cosmetology school.  She is now "on the floor."  Her school has a salon and people come and get their hair, cut, colored, shaved, shampooed, etc.  It is just like a regular salon but the work is done by students in training.  The prices are much cheaper than a regular salon.   Olivia's school offers two degrees.  The students can be in cosmetology or aesthetics(skin care).  Cosmetology covers hair and skin care.  Olivia is enrolled in the cosmetology program.  Today she had a customer who was a student in the aesthetics program there.  The girl already had her cosmetology licence from another cosmetology school but she wanted more training in skin care.  This girl had worked on her own hair and it was a catastrophe!  She experimented on her own hair but she is a cosmetologist so you'd think she would know what she was doing!  I...
