Day 310 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

          I am thankful that I am going to the marijuana superstore with my friend Joann this week! I want to get a topical cream for my sciatica and my arthritis.  This is the description of the lotion from the store.  What the heck does it mean?? willow fluvic acid?? terpenes?? humelene?? Geez, those ingredients sound like something for a nuclear bomb!!!
Topical Cream
  • Featured terpenes: β-caryophyllene, humulene
  • Contains white willow, fulvic acid, and other botanical extracts
  • 60 mL jar (2.5 mg/mL activated cannabinoids)

I wonder if marijuana store owners make a lot of money. The store I went to originally was small and didn't seem to have a ton of products but everything was super expensive! If it works for sciatica pain, the cost could never be too high. Olivia told me that Frankie's mom bought the topical cream and it works wonders.  She said it was the first time in years that she could walk without pain


      Today I am also  thankful to have spent the day with Olivia.  She was off today because her school had an in-service day for the staff!  We both slept in and then watched the Ant Man and the Wasp movie!

It was a really cute movie.  I had never seen it when it was in the theaters!  After our movie we went to Michaels Craft store to find a craft to so.  We didn't really find anything that struck our fancy.  After we left, I thought about a sign I saw on clearance. I think I will go back and buy the sign and Christmas it up!!!!

                 MORE BAT NEWS!!   Yesterday another exterminator came.  The day before the exterminator from Terminix told me that he saw some guano, bat feces, in my attic and they could " fix " my problem for a year contract of $1400.  Today another exterminator came, he was in the attic a long time.  He said he didn't see any guano in my attic.  He didn't think the bats were hidden in the eaves like the Terminix guy thought because of the lack of guano! The second guy told me to find a handyman to close up an opening near my top roof siding and see if that works.  If not, he said they can come back and seal up the house for $795.  I think the Terminix guy just wanted me to sign a contract. Day 6 of Being Thankful

   Today I am thankful for my daughter Olya.  We adopted Olya from Ukraine in 2009.. Olya with her bio relatives Olya with a friend at her home in Ukraine  She was ten and a half years old when we adopted her.  My friend Maggie had found her for me in Ukraine,  She knew I wanted to adopt another girl in the 10-11 year old age range. Olivia was driving me crazy, she always wanted to be doing something. She really wanted a sibling!  I told Dan that we needed to adopt another girl close to Olivia's age so she would have a sibling to grow up with. Dan was fine with it, I think he was excited to go back to Ukraine!   Maggie works for Frontier Horizons, a hosting organization that brings orphans to the U.S. and other countries for a cultural experience. Day 175 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

     Today I am thankful for the wonderful day we spent yesterday.  We went to a restaurant to celebrate Renee and Adam's birthday with about 25 people!   Adam's parents and his brother Dan and his girlfriend came.  Renee and Adam and his brothers and wives/girlfriends and parents are all going on a trip to Lebanon in August.  Renee is excited because she has never been there! Walid's family, Adam's father, owns a huge hospital in Lebanon. It was nice to see all of them. Renee married into a lovely family!  After lunch we all went back to Renee and Adam's house for a large party.  I am guessing about 50 people were at the party!  There was so much food.  There were trays and trays of wraps, sandwiches, fruit, and vegetables.  A huge tray of sushi was demolished in an hour!  I am not a sushi lover or liker so I didn't help eat any of that tray!
