Day 290 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful that I went to see the hyperbaric chamber.  My friend Jill had told me about it. It really helped her sciatica!  I had called the day before and asked if I could just come in and look at it and they said yes.  When I was there today, my friend Jill was in the chamber.  I had no idea she would be there!! You can see outside of it because it is mostly glass on the top.  I am claustrophobic so I don't know how I'll do but I am willing to give anything a try at this point. I also saw my pain management doctor today.  I asked him about the hyperbaric chamber and he said it is a waste of money. I think there was a big story about Michael Jackson and a hyperbaric chamber yeas ago!
I don't like the pain management doc, he is very rude.  I am looking for another doctor but it is usually months when you are asking for new patient. He asked me twice if I had any degree of relief from the shot and I said no.  He asked me again rudely like he didn't believe me. He kept saying to me, "you had no relief at all???" I want relief, I'll do almost anything to try to get it. Who would lie about that? Who would want to be in pain all day long??
I am also seeing an acupuncturist tomorrow in the afternoon. I am trying to be proactive because the normal epidural back shots are not working for me. I just got back from the hyperbaric chamber.  I actually think I feel a little better after one treatment.  I am still in a lot of pain but I can move without wanting to scream!!!And that is improvement, I also took extra drops of marijuana because I had to lie on my back in the chamber. My leg throbs when I lie on my back.   It's kind of a weird feeling being in the chamber.  A lot of people fall asleep but I don't think I could ever do that!
Now off to the acupuncturist.  If I start to feel better, I won't know which thing worked the best but I don't care!!
Acupuncture is an age-old healing practice of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are placed at specific points in the body. It's primarily used to relieve pain but also has been used to treat other conditions. More than 3 million Americans use acupuncture, but it is even more popular in other countries. In France, for example, one in five people has tried acupuncture.
