Day 253 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today I am so thankful that I had lunch with my three long time best friends Jackie, Carol and Nancy! We celebrated Jackie's birthday!! We had the best time ever. Nancy said it is like "getting a fix" because we laugh so much! We cover a plethora of topics. We mostly laughed about old shows we use to watch......Petticoat Junction, Mr. Ed, Beverly Hillbillies, and WKRP! We remember all of the characters!!
I didn't watch WKRP but Jackie told us about a funny show Apparently, the radio station was giving out hundreds or turkeys for Thanksgiving. They planned a "turkey drop." They rented a plane and threw out the turkeys thinking that turkeys could fly but they fell like bowling balls on the ground! SPLAT!! I will have to watch that show episode on youtube! Jackie said she often sings part of the Petticoat Junction song when she has difficulty moving around..."There's Uncle Joe, he's a moving kind of slow, at the Junction,!" LOL. these days that could be my theme song! We also talked about Hogans' Heroes and Sargent Shultz..."I see nothing, I hear nothing!" Those old shows were so funny without sex, nudity, or foul language!
Frankie stayed overnight Sat. night because his car is in the shop and I didn't want Olivia driving him home after they went to the 10:30 showing of the Nun movie. Sunday morning I gave them money to buy food for breakfast. They got bacon, potatoes, eggs, ham, and peppers. They cooked a bodacious breakfast together. It is amazing that they like to eat sch fattening food and they are both thin. They must both have fast metabolisms!
