Day 224 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

         Today I am thankful for homemade food.  I really like my own food better than take-out.  I don't feel great but I made myself defrost chicken breasts, marinate them, season them and now they are cooking. They smell so good. I also cut and washed the ingredients for a healthy salad! I am supposed to be on a non-dairy low fat diet.  I have no problem with the non-dairy part.  I'll just miss the cheese on pizza but other than that, it is no a big deal! I am not a  big ice cream or cheese eater and I don't drink milk. There are quite a variety of non-dairy alternatives including ice cream.  I recently bought Breyer's non-dairy ice cream and it is really good!  I will miss fried food though!  A LOT!! I LOVE FRIED FOOD!! Who can survive without french fries or fried hamburgers or chicken tenders?
I guess I will learn how to live without them!
