Day 213 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today i am thankful that my leg is not throbbing as much as it has been from my sciatica..
It still really hurts but it is a tiny bit less, I think. Maybe I am on the mend! The pain is nonstop and radiates from my hip to my toes. Who would think that such a tiny nerve could cause so much pain? Last night the pain only woke me up once. So either it is a little better or I was really tired! Why is it that we don't appreciate good health until we don't have it?
I am also thankful that my two cats are getting along! They really play a lot together! I don't know why but they are always sniffing each other's butts! They are both fixed and Rosie is only 3 months old so they shouldn't have any sexual desire for each other! Yesterday Olivia and Olya took Rosie to the vet for her checkup. All was good for Rosie to the tune of $98.00! The vet was surprised that the two cats got along after only one day! Today the girls are taking Nittany for his shots! He knows where he is going when he gets put in the carrier and goes in the car! The poor thing meows like crazy!
I am glad that Olivia finished writing her thank you notes for her 21st birthday gifts. My kids are never allowed to use a gift, cash a check, or spend a cent from gift money until the thank you cards are written, addressed and stamped. Renee told me that she is glad I had that rule because she is always vigilant about writing thank you notes!
Yesterday I moved my bird feeder again because the squirrels were able to climb the hummingbird feeder pole and jump/fly to the bird seed pole! Hunger and food are powerful motivators! The squirrels flew over to the feeder pole and got quite good at it! At first it was funny to watch them because they didn't quite make it to the pole. But eventually the squirrels figured it out. It reminded me if that song, he flew through the air with the greatest of ease, the daring young man on the flying trapeze! Now I can't get that stupid song out of my head!!!
