Day 126 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am so thankful that I got to spend the day with my friend Priscilla yesterday. We had so much fun!! We went to a few community garage sales near where she lives.
I didn't buy too much because I need nothing, nothing at all.  I got a few books, some jewelry for Olivia's wall hanging art piece, and a few craft items.  I also got a brand new plastic draining dish on wheels for a plant.  Some of the people had crazy prices on their items, they think they are Nordstrom! Most of those people will be taking their items back inside or putting the stuff out for the trash.  Priscilla got a lot more than I did.  I also got a standing metal shelf three basket stand for Olya for her bathroom in her apartment for next year.  She and her best friend Elise are going to live off campus in an apartment next year.  I think the apartment comes with dishes, pots and pans, and furniture.  But I think they need their own bed linens, blankets, comforters, etc.
When Priscilla and I are out, we talk to everyone.  We met two other bereaved moms.  Who would ever think we would ever meet bereaved moms at garage sales!! We met them at two different places and invited each of them to our Monday night meeting.  I don't know if either of them will come but I hope they do.  The second mom we met lost her two adult children several years apart...........so, so sad for her.
After our shopping, we went to chick fil a for lunch. I have never had their grilled chicken nuggets but Priscilla said they were really good!
We got in line and she was called to the next register.  Then I was called to another register. I ordered and got my tray and Priscilla told that she didn't see me when she turned around so she also ordered for me.  It was funny but not a big deal because everyone in my home LOVES chick- fil- a! I enjoyed the grilled nuggets but wished I was eating the regular ones! Eating the fries made up for it a bit.

The nuggets were gone after I was home about 10 minutes!  Both girls chose chick fil a for their graduation parties. You can never go wrong with Chick-fil -a for a Fledderman!

When we first adopted Olivia,  Dan took her camping for a week with his brother Larry and sister-in-law Pennie.  Dan only had a tent at the time but Larry and Pennie had a camper.  Olivia LOVED the camper, she called me and told me with her thick Russian accent that it was like a leeedle(little) house.  One night it really thunderstormed and poured rain.  Dan and Larry were out in the rain trying to put a plastic cover over the top of the tent.  Olivia called me nd told me that it was really raining and dad and Uncle Larry were trying to cover the top of the tent and they were all wet! She said that she  and Aunt Pennie were dry and warm in the camper playing Old Maid and eating ice cream. Olivia kept calling the game, the cleaning lady game.  When we were at the garage sales, I bought her a cleaning lady card game! I'll wrap it for her for her 21st birthday. It was so nice that our relatives all warmly embraced both girls.  We adopted them at 9 and 10 so they have had plenty of years to build extended family memories. They saw more things and did more things in the 10 and 12 years they have been here than I did most of my life.  When I was a kid, we never went any where. Dan likes to travel so he is always arranging a trip to go somewhere.  On Spring break, the girls always ask where we're going not IF we are going any where!
