Day 123 of 365 days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful for watermelon. That sounds lame but I really am thankful for watermelon.  I have had a craving for watermelon for a few days.  The weather was so beautiful today, it was like a summer day!  I stopped at the farm market and got a watermelon. I looked at the watermelons for about 10 minutes before I chose one.
I don't know what I thought I was going to see because there is no way to know if a watermelon is good until it is cut and tasted!
I sort of lugged and rolled it into the top of my shopping cart. I knew I would have a problem lifting it into my car  but I was determined to buy it!  My left shoulder still doesn't have any strength since I had a procedure of removing calcium from it.  I go to PT but some days PT makes it worse. This was a PT morning so my shoulder  really hurt but that was not going to deter me on my watermelon quest.  After I checked out, I looked for a worker with the farm market shirt name but I couldn't find one.  I saw a worker coming in to work with his work shirt on so I got him to load the watermelon into my car.  I called Dan to see when he was coming home but he was really busy at work today.  When he got home about 6, he carried the watermelon in. I cut it and it was so good and definitely worth the wait!!!
Olivia learned to color hair today.  I guess she can now cover my gray roots!  Olivia has such beautiful naturally thick medium brown hair.
And her hair grows really fast!  In high school she usually had a blond ombre.  She also went red and went darker brown.  I finally told her that I wasn't  paying for her to color her hair any more because I didn't want her to ruin her hair.  It is now back to it's original color.  Her hair has natural highlights in it.  She is fortunate to have good genes from her biological parents. She told  me that she is going to color her hair red.  I don't think she should do it, but it is  her hair.  I love the natural color of her hair.  She has been red before and it looks nice but I think her natural color is the best.
