Day 353 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful that I went to lunch with my childhood friend Leslie.  We met when we were about 10, we grew up on the same street!  There is something special about being with someone who you shared all of your childhood secrets with.  Leslie is an amazing person.  Despite adversity, she is still kind and thoughtful.  I love being with her.  Her dad died when she was about 11 and her mom died when she was about 19 so she raised her four younger siblings.  They have all turned out so well, thanks to her.  Leslie is a very giving person, she always shares her talents with others.  She did the calligraphy on Renee's wedding invitations and it was so beautifully done! Leslie gave me a box of chocolate covered pretzels, MY ABSOLUTE favorite snack!! I am thankful for our time together.
Last night I went to a bereaved parent meeting. I dropped off the cookie trays that Priscilla and I made the other night.  Everyone was very appreciative.  I didn't stay long because I had to get up at 5:30 a m to get ready for another shot in my back at 7 a m. This is the last shot I could get because it is my fifth shot for this year.  I don't have any improvement yet but I am hopeful.  I did pick up the items that Olivia and Olya made at the ceramic painting night.  Olivia made the poop emoji for her boyfriend and Olya made the dolphin. As you can see, there are some very artistically talented people in our group!
After my shot this morning, Dan and I stopped at Acme on the way home.  He was only going to get lunch meat but we wound up filling a cart! It is ALWAYS about the food!!!
