Day 342 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today I am thankful that we are going to Renee and Adam's for an open house Christmas party! I think they mostly invited their neighbors and us. I made cupcakes and they look so cute. Frankie and Olivia are going to the party early to help Renee set up so they can take the cupcakes for me! You don't realize how much you need to use both hands until you can't. Everything takes twice as long because I can only use one hand because I need to push the walker with the other hand!
I love those little kits from AC Moore that come with toppings and little flags/mittens in this case! They just look festive and all the festive toppings/parts come in a box!
Yesterday I saw two doctors. One was a chiropractor, he still can't do much to me because I am in so much pain still. Then later in the day I saw a pain specialist who does the ENR therapy. He says the ENR is cutting edge. It is over an hour away from me and it costs $250 per session(need at least 15-20 sessions). I like that it is non-invasive but I don't like the cost!! Insurance doesn't cover it at all. He also recommended that I have a tens-like unit surgically implanted in me. They give you a battery charger that you place on the outside of your body to charge the unit daily. I prefer not to have to have surgery, especially on or near my spine. He also thought I should see a neurologist. On Thur I saw a pain specialist that my brother-in-law recommended to me. She was wonderful. I am getting a shot on the 19th and I really hope it works. She had concerns that I have other neurological issues and recommended that I see a neurologist...........just what I need....more medical stuff!! Getting old is the pits!!!!!!!!
