Day 288 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today I am thankful that Dan and I had dinner with Olivia and Frankie. They went to the Renaissance Faire today. They went with two other couples and had a lot of fun! I got up at 10:30 a m and went to the cemetery with Dan. I took the marijuana drops when I got up, smallest dose of 2.5 ml, and felt so tired. After the cemetery I fell asleep on the couch until 6 p m. Dan thinks I should stop the marijuana drops because all I do is sleep. When I got up, we started talking about getting Chinese food for dinner. Dan called Olivia and Frankie to pick it up on the way home. It was all delicious(always about the food) I HAVE TO STOP THINKING ABOUT FOOD SO MUCH! My scale says I have to shut my big mouth from eating too much!
We got to hear about all of their fun at the fair! Since I am sort of housebound due to my sciatica pain, I need to live my life vicariously through others!! They took cute photos and seemed to have really enjoyed their day!
At the fair, Frankie bought Olivia a set of Matryoshka dolls. They are referred to as stacking dolls or Russian stacking dolls. Olivia told me that her bio grandmother had a glass cabinet that held a few sets of these dolls. I had purchased two small sets for both girls' graduation parties. My granddaughter Kaylee really liked them so I gave them to her. So it is nice to have another set in the house!!! I think they are so cute! Even adults enjoy stacking the dolls!

A matryoshka doll (Russian: матрёшка, IPA: [mɐˈtrʲɵʂkə] (
listen)), also known as a Russian nesting doll, stacking dolls, or Russian doll,[1] is a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another. The name "matryoshka" (матрёшка), literally "little matron", is a diminutive form of Russian female first name "Matryona" (Матрёна) or "Matriosha". Matryoshka dolls are a traditional representation of the mother carrying a child within her and can be seen as a representation of a chain of mother's carrying on the family legacy through the child in their womb. Furthermore Matryoshka dolls are used to illustrate the unity of body, soul, mind, heart and spirit

A set of matryoshkas consists of a wooden figure, which separates, top from bottom, to reveal a smaller figure of the same sort inside, which has, in turn, another figure inside of it, and so on.
