Day 279 of 365 days of Being Thankful
Today I am thankful that I have an appointment with the marijuana dispensing doctor. I am already approved to get the pot because the doc received my medical records. Apparently chronic pain is one of the determining factors. I am so hoping that it works. There is a lot of paperwork involved. First I had to find a reputable doctor. Then I had to register online with the state. Then I had to get my medical records sent to the doctor. Then that doc determines my eligibility. Then I have to go see him and he signs some sort of paperwork. Then I have to go back online and pay a $50 fee to the state. The doctor fee is $300. Then the state will mail an eligibility card to me. I think that then I go to the dispensing store and buy the marijuana. Maybe there is another step the doctor will tell me about tomorrow! I still am probably a few weeks away from actually getting the pot! My friend's husband may also be getting medicinal marijuana. We can go to the marijuana market together and shop! My friend Nancy knows someone who works in the pot industry in Colorado. She said that the names of some of the markets are really funny! Her favorite was Rocky Mountain High!
I am also so thankful that I had dinner with my RTW dinner club last night! There are about 11 of us in the group and last night 6 of us went to dinner. We meet every other month so hopefully everyone will be able to come to the Christmas dinner in Dec. Someone mentioned a pollyanna and we all laughed. We don't want or need anything! I am more into purging than receiving any gifts!! My friend Leslie's husband says to give the gift of "no gift.!" That truly is a gift!!!!!
I just love all of the women in that group!! They are all so nice and so funny. It's like being at a comedy club!! I think that women need other women to make their lives fulfilled! I know that I do. Men hardly ever see things the correct way. One of my friend's granddaughters is sick and receiving chemo, she is only a baby. Please pray for her. I can't stop thinking about her. I prayed for her as I drove home. I am thankful that her condition was caught early and that she has an excellent prognosis.
