Day 278 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful that my MRI is over!!!! I hate being in that machine.  I think I have claustrophobia.  I feel like I am in a casket when I am in the MRI machine.
But it is over now and I am so thankful!  I have torn rotator cuffs and my left arm is useless so I had to get an MRI.  My doc thinks I need surgery. Yuck, I prefer not to have it! I don't do well with anesthesia! This getting old stuff is the pits!!!
From Medline( Rotator cuff repair is surgery to repair a torn tendon in the shoulder. The procedure can be done with a large (open) incision or with shoulder arthroscopy, which uses smaller incisions.

Description

The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that form a cuff over the shoulder joint. These muscles and tendons hold the arm in its joint and help the shoulder joint to move. The tendons can be torn from overuse or injury.
You will likely receive general anesthesia before this surgery. This means you will be asleep and unable to feel pain. Or, you will have regional anesthesia. Your arm and shoulder area will be numbed so that you do not feel any pain. If you receive regional anesthesia, you will also be given medicine to make you very sleepy during the operation.

I am also thankful for my friend Candy! Who could live without friends?? She offered to pick me up for the dinner club group which meets tomorrow night.  She also gave me the name of a wonderful chiropractor that she has used.  I will call in the morning!! Candy is a licensed cosmetologist.  She works at a church during the day but she has her own side business.  She does  hair and make-up on deceased people at funeral homes.  Olivia has shown some interest in doing that. She saw a video at school and thinks she would like to do the hair and make-up on deceased people so that they look nice for their families. That surprised me but Olivia likes things that are different!   Candy offered to take her with her on a job. I told Olivia and she was thrilled!  Candy also does weddings on the weekends with two of her friends. They make out very well doing that. Olivia has also expressed interest in doing that.
