Today I looked online for doctors who prescribe medical marijuana. I am thankful that I found a few not too far from me. I registered online to get it. The state makes a lot of money just for registering for a card, that alone costs $200. Then you need a prescription from a licensed doctor who can prescribe it. I have an appointment with one next week and I have another one to call tomorrow. I have been reading a lot of articles about sciatica and medical marijuana. Most people have stated that it really helps them. Olya cracked up when I told her about it on the phone. Then I started laughing as she described what she expected to see if I get a prescription. Olya asked me if I was going to hide in the basement and smoke it. I told her that I had no reason to hide using it. I don't even know what form it comes in or if medical marijuana has an odor. She kept saying..."I don't know how I feel about this." Chronic pain is one of the qualifiers for medical marijuana and I definitely have had chronic pain for more than 6 months.
Today I am also thankful for canes and walkers! I never thought I would say that!!!!
But I am in so much pain and agony that I am so happy to be able to use something that helps me walk. I got an epidural shot yesterday and my pain is so much worse today. I had to crawl to the bathroom and crawl down the steps! My sister lent me a walker and a cane!
Funny story from my friend Debbie!! She wrote this in response to yesterdays blog!
Tell Olivia when I was in school we had to do waves using our fingers on the mannequins. I just couldn't get it so I threw her out the window and she rolled down the front stairs of the school. Didn't know I had to pay another $75.00 for her so I scooted my ass as quick as I could to retrieve the head....never did that again but made me try harder and aced it on the permanent wave test after that.
:)Love the color of Shelia's hair.
