Day 217 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

         Today I am thankful that I packed three Hefty trash bags for Goodwill.  I have too much of everything!  I 'm anal about my house being clean, neat, and organized. I can't stand clutter.  I am determined to clean out all of my closets! I wonder why any of us keep clothes that we don't wear! I think I had some shirts and pants over 10 years but they are gone now! I have to stay out of the stores so I stop buying crap I don't need.
          Olivia and Frankie went to Hershey Park today with another couple Jen and Corey. I am thankful that they have nice friends! Jen and Corey are always up to do fun things!
I really like Jen and Corey.  Olivia and Frankie met this couple at a party of one of Olivia's friends and they just clicked! They all play some game called Pokemon Go.  They go to different places and capture Pokemons!  It is an online game that tells them where to go to find the Pokemons.  (The game works by using your phone’s GPS for your real-world location and augmented reality to bring up those cool-looking Pokémon on your screen, overlaid on top of what you see in front of you. And you—the digital you—can be customized with clothing, a faction (or “team” of players you can join) and other options, and you level up as you play).

Jen is a real go getter, she has two part-time jobs and goes to college! They all slept here last night to get a bright and early start!  I made pancakes and french toast last night  and set the table so that they could get on the road!  They left at the crack of 10:30 in the morning!  I would have been on my fifth ride by then! Maybe the young are better off being more relaxed and not always rushing around!

                 MORE BAT NEWS!!   Yesterday another exterminator came.  The day before the exterminator from Terminix told me that he saw some guano, bat feces, in my attic and they could " fix " my problem for a year contract of $1400.  Today another exterminator came, he was in the attic a long time.  He said he didn't see any guano in my attic.  He didn't think the bats were hidden in the eaves like the Terminix guy thought because of the lack of guano! The second guy told me to find a handyman to close up an opening near my top roof siding and see if that works.  If not, he said they can come back and seal up the house for $795.  I think the Terminix guy just wanted me to sign a contract. Day 6 of Being Thankful

   Today I am thankful for my daughter Olya.  We adopted Olya from Ukraine in 2009.. Olya with her bio relatives Olya with a friend at her home in Ukraine  She was ten and a half years old when we adopted her.  My friend Maggie had found her for me in Ukraine,  She knew I wanted to adopt another girl in the 10-11 year old age range. Olivia was driving me crazy, she always wanted to be doing something. She really wanted a sibling!  I told Dan that we needed to adopt another girl close to Olivia's age so she would have a sibling to grow up with. Dan was fine with it, I think he was excited to go back to Ukraine!   Maggie works for Frontier Horizons, a hosting organization that brings orphans to the U.S. and other countries for a cultural experience. Day 175 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

     Today I am thankful for the wonderful day we spent yesterday.  We went to a restaurant to celebrate Renee and Adam's birthday with about 25 people!   Adam's parents and his brother Dan and his girlfriend came.  Renee and Adam and his brothers and wives/girlfriends and parents are all going on a trip to Lebanon in August.  Renee is excited because she has never been there! Walid's family, Adam's father, owns a huge hospital in Lebanon. It was nice to see all of them. Renee married into a lovely family!  After lunch we all went back to Renee and Adam's house for a large party.  I am guessing about 50 people were at the party!  There was so much food.  There were trays and trays of wraps, sandwiches, fruit, and vegetables.  A huge tray of sushi was demolished in an hour!  I am not a sushi lover or liker so I didn't help eat any of that tray!
