Day 215 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Something positive is going on between me and the Universe! I don't know what it is but I am thankful for it! A week or two ago, my friend Madelyn had a contest on her blog. I love her blog and I read it everyday so I entered her contest! Madelyn adopted one of Olivia's friends from her orphanage in Simferopol, Ukraine. I love reading her blog and hearing about her and Yana's activities! Well, I won the contest and my prize is something that goes with my Iphone. Madelyn has been tracking it and I should get it tomorrow! A few days ago, in a bereavement Facebook site, I entered a psychic contest for a free reading. Yesterday the psychic from Ireland told me that she chose me to get a free reading. Yesterday on Facebook, Caseys, a local restaurant which I frequent , had a contest. All I had to do was write down my favorite menu items. I wrote down chicken sandwich, fries and chocolate lava cake. Today they contacted me and told me that I won a $25 gift card! Their lava cake is the best! I really never win anything! I guess I can't say that any more! Maybe I should head to the casino this weekend!
Yesterday Olya and I went school clothes shopping at the mall! Olya is a really good shopper and is careful with her money. She and I went into the dressing room and I sat across from her and she showed me the clothes she tried on. She looked good in everything! I paid for her under garments, pajamas, sweatshirts, and socks. I limped along and found lots of places to sit down while she shopped. We went to Macys and she got new bed sheets because she'll have a full size bed this year in her apartment. Then we had lunch at the Shake Shack. I am thankful for a really nice day!
Renee is also really good with her money! She called me to chat when she was on her way to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. She told me that I would be proud of her because she had two canisters/cartridges to return and get a $5 credit for each. The store recycles them. And she had a 20% off one item coupon. Olya and I used a 20% off coupon at Macys for her sheets and saved $6.00. My dad is the one who taught me about coupons. He would have been the king of those couponer shows!!
