Day 186 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful for peace and quiet!
Olya went to work this morning and then Dan drove her to the train. She is visiting her boyfriend and his family.  Matt's mom is picking her up at the train station because Matt will still be at work.  Tomorrow Olya will hang out with his mom because Matt has to work during the day.  Olya really likes his parents and it seems that they like her.  Matt has one younger brother so maybe his mom enjoys having another female around.  They are going on  a family vacation to the beach in two weeks and I am taking Olya there for one overnight because it will be Matt's birthday. I'll just rent a motel room for us for the night. His parents invited us to go to dinner with them.
Olivia just left to go to her boyfriend's house.  They are all going out to dinner to celebrate one of his sister's birthdays.  She graduated with Renee. Frankie's family always includes her which is really nice.  I think they are going to The Iron Hill Brewery.  I hope it's better than Rutters because Olivia hates Rutters!!!
I am thankful to lie on the couch, watch TV and read my book after cleaning all day long! I am reading The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.  It is excellent, it was one of Oprah's Book Club selections in 2016. I don't want the book to end!

I am also thankful that I filled all my bird feeders!  The birds have been eating all day long!  There are so many of them  I wonder where they all ate while we were away camping!  The feeders were empty except for one small one.  I always put up bagels on the poles because Olya brings them home from work.  The bagels, except for one small piece, were also all gone.  Perhaps they only finished everything yesterday before we got back.  Maybe they just waited for us to come back because they are all eating like crazy trying to make up for lost time.

I am also thankful to be caught up on my blog!

The girls keep bugging me to get another cat.  They think Nittany needs a friend.  They also want a cat that likes to be held and cuddled.  Nittany does not like to be held or cuddled, he tolerates it under duress for a few minutes only.   I am thinking about it.  If the ASPCA has another adoption event, I think we'll go and check it out.
