Day 154 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today I am thankful that my three daughters are in good relationships with decent guys. Renee is married to Adam and I really love him. He is a good husband and a good son-in-law!
He was raised in a very similar manner to Renee. They are both super intelligent and highly educated. Adam has two brothers and he is close to both of them and to his parents. His parents are so nice, I just love them, they are the perfect in-laws for Renee. Adam and Renee and Adam's entire family are going to Lebanon this summer. His family owns a home there and they have tons of relatives there, that is where Adam's father is from. Renee and Adam both love to travel and love their families. It is always a good thing to have more people to love and more people to love you. Olivia is dating Frankie, they went to high school together, Frankie graduated the year after Olivia.
They knew each other in high school but never hung around together or dated. Frankie is very close to his Italian family and I like that about him. He told me that one day when he was still in high school, his mom let him drive to school. Instead of going to school, he and a few of his friends took the morning off and drove around and went to breakfast. His mom got the "call" from school about his absence. She called him and told him that she called the police and reported the car as stolen! He headed right to school. I don't even know his mom but I like her a lot!! Frankie also is more than willing to help do anything around our house. He helped Dan clean the pool deck and move the bird feeder and bird bath. He is quiet but such a nice guy!! Olya is dating Matt. They both love to watch sports and love some weird Netflix series called A Series of Unfortunate Events. There is a little girl/toddler on the show who looks so much like Amy looked as a baby. She is just the cutest thing ever! Matt is the funniest guy ever. He has a very dry sense of humor. He is pleasant and so nice to Olya. Olya met Matt at college. He is also very close to his family, he has one younger brother. He also was raised in a very similar manner to Olya. Like Olya, he studies hard and he does very well in college. He and Olya had two classes together this past semester. I like him a lot! He has a summer job as a counselor at the YMCA near where he lives. Olya really likes his family, they are very nice to her.
When we were at Walmart, I found a coke bottle with the name Adam on it. I kept hunting in the Coke bin to find a bottle marked with Renee but I couldn't find one. There were Yolanda bottles, Rodriuges bottles, Duquane bottles, Raphael bottles, Dominique bottles, etc, but no Renee bottles. But I did find a special bottle and I purchased it and have been sipping the Coke all afternoon. I am so thankful that I found this special bottle of soda. It's good they didn't have more than one bottle or I just would have had to buy them all!

Today Dan and I went to the cemetery as is our normal routine on Sunday. I didn't get up to go to church because I just don't feel that well yet. After the cemetery we went to Walmart. Dan had to get cat litter and a few other things. I got a new hummingbird feeder. Olivia thinks I have too many bird houses and feeders in my garden. I think I have the perfect amount!!
Walmart has the best prices! When I was at ACME market the other day, an elderly man asked me to read a sign on the ice cream case door. It said buy two Friendly Ice Creams and get three free. He was so excited and started loading up his cart. He was so cute. I said to him, I would also buy it if I had enough room in my freezer but I don't. He said he didn't either but he would throw away stuff in there. He said "We'll be eating ice cream for breakfast at these prices." Then he started to tell me that he always shops for bargains at the supermarket but he mostly shops at Walmart for food. My dad did the same thing, he would go around and get all the food and toiletry items on sale!!When we were at Walmart, I found a coke bottle with the name Adam on it. I kept hunting in the Coke bin to find a bottle marked with Renee but I couldn't find one. I am also so thankful and so happy that my best friend Priscilla found a Scattergories game for me! It is my favorite board game!! We have been searching at yard sales and Goodwill stores but couldn't find one.
I lent mine to Renee a few years ago and one of her roommates borrowed it and I never saw it again. There is a free store near where Priscilla lives and she stops in frequently to donate and to shop!
