Day 132 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today I am thankful that Renee has a job offer. She finished PA (Physician Assistant) school and graduates next week.
She has about 10 interviews lined up and now has a real offer! Renee does a good job at interviews so I am sure she will have more offers. But it is always nice to get your first offer with a great salary! Getting a job offer means that others believe you are qualified to work in the medical profession!
Dan and I were homebound last night. Each of the girls has one of our cars! I wanted to go to Walmart to get weed killer. Whenever Dan and I go to Walmart, it somehow becomes a shopping event! Burlington Coat Factory is in the same shopping center and I love that store! Dan always winds up in the supermarket part of Walmart and always fills a cart!
Today Dan and I are cleaning out the garage. What fun we have to look forward to! Most of the garage is fine but since we never purchased a third car, there is a lot of junk getting stored there. I hate a mess any where and just want to organize it and get it cleaned up. I also want to get some weed killer poured on some of the weeds. I think it is a several day project. They are getting quite large! Tonight we are going out to dinner with our good friends Jackie, Bill, and Carol! Sunday is Mother's Day, always a bittersweet day for me because Amy is not here to celebrate it with me. It's just a strange day for bereaved moms.
With deep love comes deep loss but not even death can strip away the love a mother has for her child. The loss is ever present and magnified on Mother's Day. Sometimes I wish I could sleep the day away and wake up on Monday.
Olivia asked me why there isn't a Kids Day. I told her that is because everyday is Kids Day! Dan and I will go to church in the morning, then to the cemetery. I got movie tickets for us to see "Life of the Party!" It is a comedy with Melissa McCarthy. I need something to make me laugh on Mother's Day. I think Melissa McCarthy is really funny. Renee has to study for her final exams so it will just be the 4 of us. Then we will go out for pizza.
