Day 93 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful for the stories that Dan told me when he got home from driving Olya back to school today.  He drove her back because he likes to spend one on one time with her.  Olya actually chats in the car, she is not on her phone 24/7.  Dan drove her back through Amish farm country. They saw close to 40 Amish buggies on their drive.  They were probably all coming home from their church services. Halfway through the drive, Dan pulled over and he and Olya switched seats so she could drive part of the way. Dan said that a young Amish man was driving a horse on an open buggy across from them. He said the young guy did a double take watching Olya walk around the car.  She looked so pretty because she did her hair and make-up for Easter. Dan thought it was funny how the guy was holding the reins of the horse but gawking at Olya.  Dan said it was good that the horse knew the way he was going because the guy's eyes were fixed on Olya!  Olya is completely oblivious to how pretty she is.  She got all her genes from her birth parents.
When we were at church, Olivia walked up to sit in the second pew.  Dan and I usually sit in the back pews.  We followed her and sat in the front.  There were two young men sitting in the first row in the pew next to us.  I thought the girls knew them from youth group which they attended while in high school.  The two young men played instruments on the altar during the service. The young men kept staring at Olivia. I thought they knew her.  She told me that she noticed them staring at her but she had no idea why. I guess they just thought she was pretty.
Dan took off his gray suit after church,  he had just gotten it back from the cleaners.  We started talking about the suit which we bought at Macy's for Renee's wedding.  It fits him really nicely.  We were talking about what size suit he wears which is a size 36 short jacket and 34" pants.  He started talking about when he wore "portly short" suits1  He said he always found that term derogatory.  I told him that is was a better term than saying 42 fat or 42 plump or 42 rotund. He didn't like the 42 PS suit section!  He said he liked the term stout better!  We were cracking up remembering when he got suits at Today's Man and the salesman sent him to the portly short section!  He said that he didn't like the guy sizing him up like that but those suits fit him at the time! The guy pegged his size by just looking at him at the time!
Olivia continues working on her GLAM ROOM. She stayed in bed most of the afternoon because her teeth and mouth and face and lips hurt so much from her implants.  She stopped taking the Vicodin and now is only taking the prescription Ibuprofen.  The Ibuprofen seems to make her sleepy! She came down to eat a small snack about 10 pm and put some of her shelving unit together. Olivia and Dan are going to put a new ceiling in her GLAM ROOM so they checked out ceiling tiles online. Tonight they are going to go to Home Depot and find tiles they both like.
I called Kaylee for her 7th birthday yesterday!  She is quite the chatterer! Kaylee is so full of expression when she talks, I can always hear the excitement in her voice! She told me about all of her gifts.  Her sister bought her bubbles that you can blow and eat.  I never heard of that but she was quite excited about that gift! She said the bubbles were really hard to blow!  Dan and Olya called Kaylee when they were driving  back to college.  She chatted away with them too!  Kaylee never runs out of things to say which is a great trait to have in life!
