Day 92 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

I am thankful for Easter. He is risen, Alleluia! We are going to church, then to the cemetery,

then home to finish making brunch for the relatives! The only thing I have to do is to heat up the food.  This year, I am doing it buffet style! Dan and I made the pancakes on Sat. afternoon. I'll just have to heat them up after church. We are having ham, pancakes, cereal, mashed potatoes, corn, donuts, English muffins, French bread, and fruit.  Of course, we have ice cream for dessert and Entenmann's chocolate chip cake.  It is my favorite cake! Olivia got up at 5:30 am and made all the table decorations.

Everyone came, ate, chatted and had a nice time.

Easter services were wonderful, I just love the music! I love our soon to be gone music minister( off to be president of Eastern     college), he is really funny.  At the end of the service he said we are going to sing the Hallelujah  chorus and the word Hallelujah is in it! That is almost the whole song! Everyone came, ate, chatted and had a nice time at brunch. At the end of the meal, Olivia asked everyone to go around the table and say one thing they were thankful for. Renee and Adam came to brunch!  Renee brought back gifts for everyone from South Africa.  I got a really cool looking candle.
We could each pick from a bag of things she brought back.

Let the food fest begin!

On Thur night I went to book club at the library. It is a book club that anyone can attend whenever they want to go to it, and no pressure to go all of the time. Sometimes men attend and I have found out that I prefer a women's only book club.  This was probably only the third time I have ever attended and the only familiar face to me was the librarian! The librarian always gets the books for everyone and that is so nice.  On Thur night, she gave us all passes to Longwood Gardens for four adult admissions.  That was a surprise and so nice! I think adult admission is about $25-30 per person. I like this book club because I only go if I like the book that was chosen for the month.  The librarian runs the club and she has book club questions and sticks to the agenda! And it is always the last Thur of the month. I love being in my friend Jackie's book club.  All of the women are so nice! We always meet at a member's home and everyone brings snacks and desserts!
Saturday morning I was sound asleep at 6 am when I heard Olivia come in my room and get into my bed. I asked her what was wrong and she said that her mouth hurt.  She climbed into bed and fell asleep until 11 am.  Later she told me that her mouth hurt at 6 am and she thought, I need to be with my mom.  I was touched! Like most moms, I am always with my kids when they are sick or hurt.  I slept in the hospital with Olivia after her surgery and all her hospitalizations.  After she got up and dressed and the pain meds kicked in, we went shopping for the GLAM ROOM!  We got a few more things, she hung the white lace curtains.  They looked really nice!  Dan decided to have someone come in and put in a drop ceiling in the space and he is going to buy her a new rug for the space. She is anxious to start decorating but we have to do the ceiling first. Olya came with us too and got a few things for her dorm room.

Happy Easter to all my readers!  Enjoy your day with your friends and family! It is also my granddaughter Kaylee's Birthday today! My sister's birthday is March 26th and sometimes her birthday falls on Easter. It is also Alex Fledderman's fifth birthday today. He is Dan's nephew David's son! And it is also Adam;s mother's birthday so Happy Birthday to ALL!
