Day 101 of 365 Days of Being Thankful
Today I am thankful for this chocolate Easter Bunny that Olivia gave me today. She had told me that she bought me an Easter present but couldn't find it. Today she found it and gave it to me. She said she picked it out for me because it was a Too Tall Bunny and its ears were above the top of the box in plastic.
She said the bunny reminded her of a funny story I told her from years ago. I worked at Elwyn Institute in Philadelphia at the time. Another reading specialist I worked with was Jeannie. Jeannie was always so funny. Jeannie always had funny things happening with her life and her kids .One story involved a chocolate Statue of Liberty! She told us that the day before she stopped at the dollar store and they had chocolate Statues of Liberty, they were about 8-10 inches tall.
She purchased one to take home to her kids. Jeannie said the chocolate aroma filled the car! It was the end of the day and she was hungry. Who can resist chocolate aroma in the car or any where else? She said she kept looking at it as she was driving home and before she knew it, she broke off the torch and ate it and it was delicious, then she went for the arm. She said she almost had an accident breaking off the arm because it was solid chocolate. Then she went for the crown and head, and by the time she got home, the only thing left were the feet!
I broke off the ears of my rabbit and ate them after I took the photo! Then I ate the face. It is hard to stop when chocolate tastes so good! The Too Tall Bunny will be Too Short Bunny very soon! He may be headless by tonight! If he just didn't taste so good, he would last longer. It's all the rabbit's fault!
Olivia also bought Nittany a new toy covered with pink feathers that she gave him today. He goes crazy for feathers, he just can't resist. There are pink feathers all over the floor in the family room! He even trailed them out to the kitchen and to the hallway. Within a day or two, the toy will be featherless!

Dan and I drove to Philly and went to a few vintage and thrift shops. Dan took the afternoon off. I think he is getting to be semi-retired! Olivia wants a dress form for her GLAM ROOM. We didn't find one so we'll have to keep looking. Later we went to visit Renee and Adam because we hadn't seen Renee for a week or so. We took over a box of DVDs that Renee had left here. I can't stand clutter so I try to keep things organized and get rid of junk. I don't think Adam was too happy to see the box. I told Renee I would donate them to Goodwill but she wanted to go through the box. Today I bought a plant(a bulb) in a ceramic container with a soil packet. I planted the bulb today and watered it. It was about a 2 inch think soil tablet/potting mix that I had to mix with two cups of water. The soil packet blew up and filled the ceramic pot. I only had to add a small amount of potting soil We'll see what happens. I also planted the seeds from the baby shower. Hopefully, something grows!
