Day 67 of 365 Days of Being Thankful

Today I am thankful that we are going home. I love vacations but I love to go home. Olya was worried about the nor’easter so we got up early to change our train tickets to an earlier time. The cost to change the four tickets would have been two hundred and twenty five dollars so we decided to wait for our train at eleven thirty.
I hope the weather isn’t too bad at home. We are going to stop and buy a five gallon gas can so that Dan doesn’t have to keep refilling our two gallon can. I assume that all the food in our fridge and freezer is bad because we were without power for so long. I am thankful that we will have a leisurely train ride home. After that it is anybody’s guessed as to what the weather  conditions will be when we get off and have to drive home from the train station. Goodbye NY, we had a great time!  The first listing of our train 125 NE Regional lists  it as on time.
That is a good sign. We came to the train station at 9 a.m.  I could have slept for a few more hours. Of course, Dan and the girls had to get breakfast. I think there is a food theme to our NY trip. The problem is that the weight doesn’t fall off when we get home. The girls have that fast Ukrainian metabolism but Dan and I do not. The roads weren't too bad on the way home from Philly.  We stopped at Giant and food shopped. I guess it really is all about the food!! Then we stopped at Home Depot and got the five gallon gad can.  We have power now so I can upload my blog posts from the last three days.
