Day 34 of 365 Days of being Thankful

Today I am thankful for going shopping with Olivia last night. Olya called us and said that her zipper broke on her coat and she needed a new one.  She doesn't have a car at school.  She offered to  pay for a coat if I got one for her. Of course, I am not going to take her money while she is in college.  Dan and I and Olivia went to the King of Prussia Mall to shop and to eat. Somehow we always schedule a meal when we go anywhere!  We tried looking in a few stores but there was not much selection because it is the end of the season for outerwear.. Olya wanted a long black to the knee coat.  She says she is too cold with just a jacket.  We finally found a coat in a store called AAO(Against All Odds), I had never heard of the store before.. As we were walking around, I was looking at all the architecture in the mall.  Each store is a work of art.  I wonder who had the foresight to design the entire mall and then do the logos, lettering, windows, etc of each store. I wonder who was gifted enough to create a vision of the architecture and design of a store.  The outside of Primark is visually beautiful.  The colors, the glass windows, and the images are really beautiful. As we walked around, I kept looking at each store.  Each store's logos, displays, window dressings, etc were unique and eye catching. I enjoyed shopping with Olivia and Dan and viewing all the creative artwork/architecture and designs
on display! The railings, the windows, the floor tiles, the lights, the arches, etc must have taken so much thought to designing and to pull together something so amazing. Some of the smaller stores just do not seem to have a huge quantity of inventory. I guess the prices of the items are so high that they don't need to sell too many to make a profit. I can only imagine that the rental space is extremely pricey!
I do not have the type of mind that could design any of this!  But I am thankful to get to view the talents of so many other people!    This inside area is just so breathtakingly beautiful.
Coincidentally, there was an article about the King of Prussia Mall in the Inquirer today that Dan was reading while I was driving.  It is the second largest mall in the U.S. and has 4.5 million square feet.  The largest mall in America has 5 million square feet. The King of Prussia Mall has more retail space because the largest mall has amusement rides, an aquarium, a Crayola Universe, a movie theatre, a mini golf, and a Nickelodeon Area..  The largest mall is located in Minneapolis.
