Day 2 of 365 days of being thankful (RATS!!!!!!!!!)
I guess I should finish my blog about Christmas Day. I am thankful for the gift of laughter!! In our family, we play games as we open presents. This year, I purchased 6 red and green star balloons. I taped messages to the balloons. The balloons had to be hit with rubber bands and if hit successfully, the shooter got to read a message. The messages said things such as all girls open presents, or everyone opens a present, etc. My son-in-law Adam had fun shooting rubber bands at his wife, my daughter Renee. I also am known for wrapping rats. I love to see everyone's face when they open a gift and find a rat inside! I use to have a bag of rubber rats and mice. Unbeknownst to me, my daughters threw away my rats last year! I was not to be thwarted so I purchased cardboard rats and printed out pictures of rats from the internet. Everyone got to open several boxes of rats! My son-in-law Adam kept saying,"I hope this box has the rat of my dreams!" With each lightweight box, the question was.........is it a rat or is it cash??? I put some of the dollar bills and some of the rats in empty food boxes. Olivia thought all of the empty food boxes had rats in them. She threw a vanilla wafer box right in the trash. I asked Renee if she wanted to open the box. There was cash inside of it. Renee gave the cash to Olivia.
